Increase number of items shown in drop down list?

I'm using Excel 2003 and want help adding items to an existing drop down list.

select the cell which validation.
Go to Data | Validation | increase source list as u need it

Go to Tools, Data, Validation, in the settings tabs allow list give range
where list can be found. Add to list nad adjust range as needed
