incorrect page number displayed on status bar and footer

I have a document that displays every page as Page 0 on the status bar as well as the footer when inserting the Autotext 'Page X of Y', i.e., Page 0 of 12 on every page footer. This is happening for some users, not all users, for this particular document. Any suggestions?

I do have another question: Do you know why this is not a problem for some of my coworkers that are using the same version of Word as I am, with the same service pack, and we are both running the same version of Windows and same service pack. (Windows XP SP1, MS Word SP2)
