Incomplete Import From Outlook Express to Outlook 2002

Hello,
I have a hefty email history going back to like 1996... Do i need it? Who
knows, but harddrive space is getting cheaper so why delete it?

Anyways... At the end of every year, I move the email files into a seperate
folder. So I have my emails sorted into directories 2004, 2003, 2002 and
pre-2002 + plus some other misc directories...

I recently got a copy of Outlook 2002 with my HP Ipaq PDA. I thought I would
switch over. I have tried several times to import my mail messages to
Outlook. I have also tried exporting them from Express.

I consistently get the same problems.
2005 is fine...
2004 only imports messages From January to June 2004
I only get 6 messages from 2003... the same 6 messages on every attempt...
2002 and earlier import perfectly...

What the hell is going on? Is there just too much data for an import? Why is
it so consistent in what it neglects to import... but so apparenlty random as
it has nothing to do with dates or history?

Please help me.

Most users would export from OE so that the data is preserved.
Did you try that? Did you first create identically named folders in Outlook?
 
As I said in my initial post, I have tried exporting from Express...

During the import or export (both give EXACTLY the same results) Outlook
seems to create all required folders.

I figured it out....

It looks like I LOST DATA in random email in Outlook Express. Very
aggrivating... Apparenly I lost my entire outbox from 2003 a couple months
ago and just didnt notice. I have since updated my back up file with the
corrupt version so it is gone for good. YAY!!!! :-(

Anyways... The missing emails gave me this error when I clicked on the
headers and tried to view them

Error Message:
----------------------------------
Message has not been downloaded
Outlook Express has not yet downloaded this message.

Obviously I HAD the emails downloaded, but somewhere over time Outlook
Express 'misplaced' the info. Once I went through like 3000 of my emails, and
deleted all those error messages, the import went fine.

Although no one wants to hear they have lost data, I hope this helps someone
