Incomplete Disconnect

I have a DB which I routinely maintain. When I look at the .ldb for the DB,
I sometimes find a computer listed, whereas the computer no longer has the DB
open.

Is there something I should be setting to ensure a clean 'disconnect'?

Entries in the LDB aren't removed when use disconnects; they're just
marked as inactive. If you don't take that into account, you'll be
misled.

How do you determine if an entry is active or not?

I don't recall the details of the LDB file format, though I'm pretty
sure I've seen at least a partial description somewhere. But rather
than reading and parsing the LDB yourself, why not use one of the
utilities that are available for the purpose -- either the MSLDBUSR.DLL
file downloadable from Microsoft, or the Jet 4 UserRoster schema (only
available for Access 2000 or later).
