Hi,

I've moved my data from my old laptop to my almost-as-old-but-faster PC.
Only the year now appears on emails, not the time and date which is
disconcerting to say the least. I can't find anything in the Options abuot
this, does anyone know how I can get the full date back?

It's possible that I tweaked it by mistake but I don't recall doing so.

Thanks in advance,

David Covey

Since you did not specify your version of Outlook, I can
only give you info associated with Outlook 2003. It may
work the same on your version. Right click the Received
header (I assume you are referring to the date and time
column in the inbox), click on Format column and select
the date and time of your choice.

Sorry, I should have said - Outlook 2000, i.e. the one that came with
Office 2000. Is it the same? (Well, I'll try it anyway - maybe oyu can say
if it isn't!)

Thanks

Tried it - Outlook 2000 - and all I get for choices is an
ever-increasing number of greater thans = ">" then ">>" and so on which
leads me to believe something's missing.

Any more ideas? It's the case with sent mail as well!

Thanks

David, I checked it out on Outlook 2000 today and had no
problem with it. Try it again. Looking at your Inbox
messages, right click the Received Header. The shortcut
menu should show a Format Columns... item. Click it and a
Format columns diaglog box should be displayed. The Label:
window should have the word Received in it. Click the down
arrow associated with the Format: window and select the
desired date and time format.

Hi Anon,

Or should I call you Mr/Ms Mous? ;-)

Tried it again and all I get are the ">", ">>" and so on. The options
to format other columns are all OK so I wonder whether something is missing
in the installation? Any more ideas?

Thanks

David
