I've posted this request to the MS Outlook newsgroup a week ago and the ONLY
advice received was to use 'detact and repair' which was unsuccessful. I try
to post in this newsgroup and hope someone may help me to solve this
problem.

Any advice will be welcome. Thanks in advance.

Dear Al Klein

I've deleted the two files 'junk senders.txt' and 'adult content
senders.txt' from the OL folder and I could receive emails from my inbox
again. Thanks for your good advice.

best regards
Chris

I prefer to look at the mail on my isp's server & choose myself. That
way I only put mail on my computer that I want. Here is one for
Outlook.

When you check your mail, all email files residing in your server and
their contents will be shown. However, no files are downloaded to your
computer at this time. While the REMOTE side (server) shows your
messages the LOCAL side (your computer) is empty. If you don't like
some of the messages displayed you can select and delete them from the
server.

It helps if your ISP allows you to telnet to your server. Then you can
check your email and delete anything you don't like before downloading
them to your home machine. You might also ask your ISP to run
spam assassin; SA catches most spam. regards, He2
p.s. there are a lot of telnet clients that you can use. Windows
comes with telnet.exe. I prefer tera terminal pro. (a link is on
