incoming email messages are auto deleting after read? Why?

My email messages from one particular co-worker are auto deleting once they
are opened and read. They msgs are gone - they are not going to the delete
folder etc. Filter has been checked. Has anyone experienced this?
 
I've had staff members here experience that. It turned out to be a Rule
set. Go to Tools | Rules Wizard and check your rules for deleting messages
after they've been read.
