Incoming email doesn't appear at Inbox until I click send-receive

At work, where I use Outlook, I do not know whether I have any e-mail until I
click the send-receive button. Then it shows up in my Inbox, but not before.
Also, I don't get that little "You have new mail" pop-up at all. What is
set up wrong?

If you are working in Outlook Online Mode, then I believe you will have to
look into your firewall/router, since this might be blocking this
notification. I will also guess that there are more than one who are
experiencing this problem?
