i recently forwarded a message to a friend that had several .bmp files in
the message, not as attachments.

i have heard from others that sometimes that happens on forwards, but not
always. is there some rule about forwarding pic files and how to make sure
they get included.

my fix has always been to save the file to my local drive & then re-insert
the images and re-forward which is a bit of a pita.

while on images as a subject. when i try to include .bmp & .gif files the
images show, other image formats dont.

is there a list of the image formats outlook supports?

thanks.

BMP images should not be sent in emails. They are HUGE and get rejected by
the servers. Use the smaller jpg format instead. Use an image editor to
change the format for saving and sending pictures.

Hi, I used to use JPG's to Insert / Picture in Outlook 2002 but some while
ago that just stopped working!

Now Insert shows Picture as grey so I can't do it anymore :o(

Any idea why? And how can I fix it (I'm up to Office SP3 already.)

Thanks, Gerry :o)
