including formulas in inserted columns

Hi folks,

When I insert a column, the formats of the column to the left of th
newly inserted column are included in/copied over to the new colum
automatically. I would like for this to happen with both the format
and formulas of the column to the left (as if the dragging the formula
over)... does anyone know if this can be done??

The problem being that I have breaks in my data field when I insert
column and have to go round dragging each formula across to the ne
column.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated

Hi Andy,

Sorry... I failed to mention the data field contains lots of value
which I would not like to copy across and would not be easy to delet
if they were copied across. All I want to transfer to the new colum
are formats and formulas if this is possible. I have tried copy an
'paste special' but this copies all data across even if I just selec
formulas and formats!

OK. Copy the whole column and paste it. Then select the pasted column and
Edit / Goto / Special / Constants. This will select all non-formulas. Hit
the delete key.
