I'm using the IncludeText feature to single-source numerous documents. I bookmarked the text, which includes a table row with two columns. One column includes an icon. When I insert the bookmarked text into a document, the icon does not display in the table column. I tried placing my cursor in the column, thinking worst-case I could manually insert the icon; however, when I click in the column my cursor doesn't display. It's very strange

Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi,

For the 'icon' to appear in the target document, it would have to be
formatted as in-line-with-text or be a floating object that has it's anchor
attached to a paragraph within the bookmarked range.

Cheers

1. Which version of Word are we dealing with?

2. What steps do you use to insert this "icon" in the table?

3. Do you have non-printing characters displayed? If not, please turn them on
(Tools/Options/View)

4. When you click in this cell, and the cursor disappears...
- look in the ruler: is there a TAB stop outside the cell limits?
- how about the paragraph alignement? Is it left, centered or right? If not left, is
the right-margin indicator in the ruler outside the cell limits (looks like a pyramid)?
