I hope I can explain my problem clearly.

I hit some button that changed how my inbox toolbar
layout functions --- and I'm trying to figure out how to
put it back the way it was.

The problem now is that when I open up a piece of mail, I
do NOT see the toolbar with options for REPLY, FORWARD
etc. The file seems to be sitting on top of that tool bar.

I have ALREADY TRIED right clicking in the gray area of
the tool bar, and manually moving the "Standard" menu
bar, but I can't make it work.

Welcome any advice!-

Thanks!

Close Outlook. Find and rename outcmd.dat to .old. (If using Windows 2000
or XP, you will need to enable searching hidden and system folders.)

Once you have done so, reopen Outlook and it should open fine. You will
need to rebuild any custom toolbars or customizations as the file outcmd.dat
controls how the toolbars display. When it becomes corrupted, it will cause
Outlook to hang because it cannot create the toolbars that you expect.
