Inbox sub-folders cause PST corruption?

I heard I should create my sub-folders elsewhere, not directly under Inbox,
as this can lead to PST file corruption. Is this true? And if so, does it
still apply when using Exchange Server 2003 / Outlook 2003?

I've never heard that and can't imagine why anyone would have given you such
inaccurate information.

.....in addition, although I usually prefer to put my saved items in a folder
I create at the root of the mailbox instead of under Inbox (just makes it
easier for me to organize things), if you're using Exchange you likely
aren't using a PST file to begin with - if you are, you probably shouldn't
be. Everything should stay in the Exchange mailbox unless it's an archive
(and I'm not all that fond of PST archive anyway).
