I have Outlook 2002 and prefer to use it over Express.
When I launch Outlook I am asked to choose a profile then
hit OK. Outlook immediately opens and my inbox is
accessible without entering my password. For me to get
my new mail, I then need to enter a password. Is there
anybody that can tell me how I set it up so that my
profile AND password is entered before Outlook opens and
inbox appears (Express does this....why doesn't
Outlook)? This really doesn't secure my inbox from
people.

I know this isnt exactly the answer you are looking for
but if you are using Windows XP or 2000 then you can
always lock your desktop (press ctrl+ALT+Del then click on
Lock Computer)
Im not entirely sure that the password feature is
available within Outlook 2002 but I may be wrong.

Outlook's PST file is just for storage. You won't be prompted for your
server credentials until it actually tries to connect.

An alternative could be to set a password on your PST file through File |
Data File Management | <<select PST file>> | Settings | Change Password
