Using Windows ME, OL98
Once in a while my OL will freeze after clicking the Send/Receive command.
When using the Inbox Repair Tool for the fix, a window asks me which file I
want to run it on. Can you tell me which file and where I can find it?
There are several Outlook files in the system. Strangely, "inbox repair
tool," or any combination of those keywords in OL Help, or Windows Help,
doesn't return anything.

Thanks,

Run it on your pst-file.

Make sure you include hidden and system files and folders when searching for
pst-file.

By default it is located in
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\

You can also locate the file by using
Rightclick the root folder (probably Outlook Today)-> Properties-> button
Advanced-> field Filename

inbox repair tool = scanpst.exe

scanpst.exe will verify/fix the personal storage table (*.pst). Location of
this file tends to vary based on language, operating system, and user
preferences.

Since it's a send/receive error, it might not be a bad pst. Are you using
Corp or Internet mode? See help, about if unsure.

I'm using Corporate mode. This freezing happens sometimes after the whole
system has hiccupped in some form or another and I've had to reboot. I have
a PST file in C:\Windows\outlook.pst; size = 345,232 KB.
