When I go onto a site and use the "contact us" feature and that site uses
Outlook, I have a problem. It seems that all the mail in my Inbox on my
primary disappears. I found out that all the mail in my inbox is being
pulled over to my Outlook inbox. How do I stop this? I do not use Outlook.
I have Outlook 2007. Thank you.

I'm a wee bit confused by your post. You say you don't use Outlook yet have
Outlook 2007. What program is set as your default email program on your
computer as set here: Control Panel > Internet applet > Programs tab

"I do not use Outlook. I have Outlook 2007" makes no sense.

You set outlook, in accounts options to leave a copy on the server
Downloading all mail is the default behaviour for pop mail

And if you only use web mail, then the 'send to' or 'contact us' option
doesnt neccessarily function for web mail

DL, I guess my message was not too clear. Outlook 2007 is loaded on my
laptop. I do not use Outlook for my correspondence. My provider has all the
mailbox functionality and I use that for all my email. I have had all email
in my inbox "disappear". After some investigation and when it happened the
3rd time, I realized this only happened when Outlook was accessed thru the
'contact us' option on a vendor's website. So I pulled up Outlook and there
in my Outlook inbox were all the messages that had disappeared from my
provider's inbox. The problem is I do not want this to happen but do not
know how to stop this. Since I am a novice user, I really need someone to
give me the step-by-step instructions to stop this from happening. Thanks
for your reply.

This means that you have Outlook configured as the program that handles the
mailto URL. If you didn't want Outlook to handle mail, why did you install
it? Change the attributes of the mailto URL to choose whatever mail client
you wish to use.

Uninstall Outlook or change the account settings in Outlook to leave copies
of messages on the server.
