Thank you for your help

Hmmm.. Well, I will just risk it and ASSUME you mean Outlook Express.

Found this on a search:

In Windows 98/Me, the Outlook Express database files (.DBX files) are saved
in the "C:\WINDOWS\Profiles\<AccontName>\Application
Data\Identities\{identity ID}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\" folder. If you
have only one account on your Windows 98/Me computer, the .DBX files are
saved in the "C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Identities\{identity
ID}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\" folder.

Where the <AccountName> is the detailed account name on your computer.

{identity ID} is the detailed identity ID number, for example:
{64B6A63D-F51F-4B08-97D2-3E6F8CF092EE}

In Windows XP, the .DBX files are in the "C:\Documents and
Settings\<UserName>\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{identity
ID}\Microsoft\Outlook Express" folder.

Where <UserName> is the detailed user name of your current account.

To import the old emails to the current system, follow the steps below:

Step1: Enable view hidden files:
===========
1. Click Start -> My Computer, then click the Tools menu, and click the
Folder Options command.
2. On the View tab, please click to clear the Hide file extensions for know
file types check box. Click to select Show all files under Hidden files.
3. Click the OK button to apply the new settings.

Step2: Search the .DBX files:
============
1. Click Start -> Search.
2. Click the "All files and folders" link, and then type "*.DBX" (without
the quotation marks) in the "All or part of the file name" text box.
3. Click to select drive C: in the Look in drop down box.
NOTE: If your old Windows 98/Me system is not on drive C:, please choose the
proper drive.
4. Click the "More Advanced Options" entry, and then click to select the
following check boxes:
Search System folders
Search hidden files and folders
Search subfolders
5. Click the Search button to search the DBX files on your computer.

Step3: Restore the DBX files
=============
After you find the old DBX files, please perform the following steps to
resolve the problem.
1. Locate the old DBX files. Copy them into a temp folder, such as
c:\tempdbx
2. In Outlook Express, click the menu File -> Identities -> Add new
identity, and create a new identity. Configure the e-mail account.
3. Go to this new identity, click the menu Tools -> Options, click the
Maintenance tab, click Store Folder. Make a note of the path.
4. Click the menu File -> Exit and Log off identity, to quit Outlook Express
5. Copy all the OLD DBX files into that directory (Found in point 3 step 2)
6. Go to that directory, delete the Folders.dbx file. NOTE: This is
important!
7. Restart Outlook Express with that new identity, you will find your
folders are listed in Outlook Express.

More Information
=============
May I recommend you backup the data in Outlook Express first before doing
big action to the computer in future? Based on my experience, backup data
periodically will help us recover data quickly from incident. For detail
steps about how to manually Back Up and Recover Outlook Express Data, please
refer to the following article in Microsoft Knowledge Base.

Also: Try reading through these threads (web pages) on people with the same
