Occasionally a contact in my Outlook (2003 SP1 ver.) gets deleted
inadvertently. Frankly, I don't know how it happens nor where these clients
files then go to die. Does anyone know I can stop this and/or do you know
where the deleted contact goes and how could I then retreve it?
Any help would ge greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Assuming these contacts aren't in the Deleted Items folder, have you run an
Advanced Find against all of your Personal Folders or your Exchange Mailbox
to see if they have been diverted to other folders, or if they are being
hidden by a filter of some kind?

They would have had to have been manually archived -- auto archiving is not
available for Contacts folders.

Thank you. I appreciate your assistance and indeed I found my lost client
using your suggestion. I would not have known to do that if you hadn't
pointed it out to me.
All my best

You're welcome. If you have any ideas about how the contacts might have been
moved in the first place, please post back here -- others may have had the
same issue.
