Perhaps the biggest security danger to the average Outlook user is "phishing"
emails that offer a "link" with a title like "www.ebay\security", when the
link itself is a prviate pirate site.

Highlite these bogus links in red, and warn the user when attempting to open
the link.

how do you know what is bogus? I get some in this format: <a
href="http://office.microsoft.com/assistance/preview.aspx?AssetID=HA010771141033&CTT=98">Reconnect
your old Outlook data file</a> How will outlook determine if it's bogus?
They can't go be the site it links to because those sites come and go faster
than they could get a definitions file created. They can't go by what is
displayed because it's legal html to use friendly names.

BTW - Outlook 2003 displays the underlying link when you hover over the
link.

I referred links where the title masquerades as a URL. The HTTP:\\ or WWW
make it easy for outlook to discriminate. If it pretends to be what it is
not, mark it red. No harm done; you can always hover-view it.
