Text boxes are drawing objects. Although it is (against all logic) possible
to make them inline in later versions, I believe this was not possible in
Word 2000.

Does anyone have any idea why the "In Line with Text" option for a text
In Word 2000 and before, drawing objects from the drawing toolbar (including
textboxes) cannot be made in-line with text. From what I have read in one
of these NGs, in a later version (not sure if 2002 or 2003), a functionality
is introducted called the drawing canvas, which among other things allows
you to make a group of drawing objects in-line with text.

Chad
