I'm trying to create a multiple choice test in Excel (2002) format and I
would like to create an icon of a box, that when clicked on, will insert a
check in the box (a macro would be running in the background that would keep
a running tally of correct scores). How can I do this?

Hi
what about using the already existing checkboxes controls?
1- Checkbox from the Forms toolbar
- display the toolbar by going in menu View > Tooolbars > Forms
- click a checkbox and put it on the sheet
2- Checkbox from the Control Toolbox toolbar (ActiveX)
- display the toolbar by going to menu View > Toolbars > Control Toolbox
- click and put on the sheet

Thank you, Sebastienm. That helped . . . but is there a way of customizing
the checkbox? (ie: increasing the size of it, and possibly making it a
different color when the check is placed in it?) . . .
