In Excel how can a number automatically display in text form

Is it possible to make Microsoft Excel 2002 automatically display a number in
written form, re: $3,123.50 result as Three Thousand, One Hundred
Twenty-Three and 50/100. Is there a function or macro availble to accomplish
this in an Excel spreadsheet.
