If you need a real statistical analysis tool, don't use Excel. The Data
Analysis ToolPak is at best suitable for modest business statistics.

There are free stats packages that work much better than Excel for
statistical analysis. One is R, which you could download from

I agree with Harlan that if you are going to be doing a lot of graphing or
statistics, you are better off with a dedicated program. However, if you
right click on one of the bars, under Format Data Series, Options, you can
set the gap width to 0.
