I'm planning to cancel AOL, because I now have Comcast
Broadband. However, I have a lot of "Favorite Places" set
up on AOL. Is there a way to "import" my favorite places
to Internet Explorer, without doing it site by site? For
instance, I noticed that you can Import to Netscape all
your IE bookmarks. This would be a great time-saver.
Thank you.

I really want to thank you for responding so quickly.
However, if I understand your solution, and I'm not at all
certain I do (I admit i'm a computer dummy,) I think I'd
rather add each AOL favorite place to my IE bookmarks on
an individual basis. Again, I admit cluelessness...i just
thought there was an easier way than the website you sent
me too suggests.

Yet you originally posted "Is there a way to 'import' my favorite places to

You asked, I point you in the right direection: As
http://www.aoleave.com/favorites.html explains, you'll be saving AOL
Favorites as favorites.pfc then converting the PFC file to bookmark.html
(using the tools provided and carefully/exactly following the direction)
which can then be imported into IE via File>Import and Export>Import
Favorites.

By making this hard to do, AOL has made its more timid users more and more
dependent on AOL. There /is/ life after AOL, Bob. Walk toward the light!
