I have created several accounts in MAIL and I DO RECEIVE messages, but none
of them wil be able to sent out . The message I get for ever account is :
An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'Fw: 2 nieuwe jobs voor jou!',
Account: 'ARBOO', Server: 'relay.skynet.be', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response:
'554 relay.skynet.be', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 554, Error
Number: 0x800CCC6F

What should I do ? Thanks

Port 25 and SSL usually don't go together. Click on Tools, then Accounts,
then
your email account, then Properties, then Advanced. If there's a check mark
in
the box below Outgoing mail (SMTP):, click on this box and then Apply.
Click
on OK and then Close.

how do you switch to Windows live mail. I am getting so frustrated trying to
send messages that end up laying dorment in my outbox. This microsoft
program is the pitts. Will probably just switch other email options. HELP

Does your connection to that server cross over from one internet provider's
equipment to another's before it reaches the server? If so, such
connections
to port 25 are often blocked to cause trouble for spammers. If this is the
case, check your email provider's web site for instructions on what other
port(s) you can switch to, and any other details needed for this. Or, you
could call them and ask. Just trying all the ports is a very slow way to do
this; there are about 65,000 ports available.

In Windows Mail, unknown errors are often due to interference from antivirus
programs. What if any antivirus programs, and have you ever had a Norton or
McAfee antivirus program on that computer, even if it was one of the free
trial
versions that often come already installed on new computers?

Also, is skynet.be your internet provider? Connections that cross over from
one internet provider's equipment to another's are often blocked if they go
to port 25. Ask skynet.be if they allow connections to their outgoing mail
server to use some port other than port 25, and if so, where to find their
instructions for doing this. Just trying all the ports is a very slow way
to
find out, since there are over 65,000 ports, and it's unlikely that more
than
a few of them will accept outgoing mail.
