I have tried with no success to delete an empty directory: "c:/windows/xerox/nwwia". I keep getting the error that some other program is using it. Now, consider that

- no hidden or super-hidden file is ther
- no other program is runnin
- these names (both "nwwia" and "xerox") seems not to be related to any system application (tried to find any reference to them searching with mmc among all system applications and found no recurrence
- no reference as well in the entire registr

Do you have any idea what this directory stand for and why is it not possible to delete it

Thank

Robert

Press F8 at startup and select safemode then try and delete the folder.

Have you tried to delete it from a command prompt? Or by
booting into some level of safe mode?

I am puzzled by your path. C:\Program Files\zerox and C:\Program
Files\zerox\nwwia are Windows system folders used to support imaging
devices {at least on my system}. Not sure why yours are in the Windows
folder. Perhaps just installation differences.

In any case, if you manage to delete the xerox and xerox/nwwia folders,
Windows will just recreate them. Normally these folders are empty except
when actually in use for temporary storage.
