How dow I import an excel spreadsheet into Microsoft
Outlet Contacts? Also how do I name a range on the
spreadsheet to be imported?

Save the file as csv, the from outlook do file>import and export, select
import from another program or file,
click next, select comma separated values (windows), click next, browse to
find the file, click next and select contacts as
destination folder, click next and there you can configure fields etc. Then
click finish.
To make sense you should have fields for name address and phone etc..

How dow I import an excel spreadsheet into Microsoft

In Outlook (sic) use
File > Import and Export
and follow the wizard.

Also how do I name a range on the
spreadsheet to be imported?

In Excel, select the area (including headers).
Click in the Name Box (on the left, immediately above the worksheet, to the
left of the formula bar).
Type the name and press ENTER.
