Importing Word 2000 texts into EndNote Libraries

Hello

Which is the best way to import Word 2000 documents to EndNote? I know we
can use Scan .rtf documents, however my question points to the existence (or
not) of an automatic way to export/import.

I tried to use .dot templates and all the suggestions that I read, but I am
looking for something that permit us, in only one step, import, like when we
arew connected to the online libraries, or when we can export from the
libraries to the EndNote by the Managers that the Libraries have.

Thanks in advance

Could you clarify what you are trying to do? EndNote libraries hold
citations, Word documents hold text, why would you want to import a Word doc
into an EndNote library? How are you envisioning the end result?

If you want to use EndNote to format the citation fields that have been
entered in the Word doc, without scanning an RTF file, then you should
install the EndNote add-in--this usually happens automatically if you
install EndNote after installing Word, or there should be directions for
installing it manually either in Help or on the CD. Once the add-in is
installed, there is an EndNote menu under Tools that lets you format the
doc.

Hi Daiya,

Thanks for your answer. I did before all that you suggested, but this is not
working. Probably Word 2000 in my PC has a problem. I will revise it.

Thanks again,

Stella

Hi Stella,

If your problem is that the EndNote menu is not showing up in Word although
you have EndNote installed, then check the endnote site, they have an FAQ as
well.
http://endnote.com/support/faqs/enfaq7.asp
There's also a compatibility chart somewhere on endnote.com

If that isn't your problem, then I'm still confused about what you are
trying to do.
