Good morning
I am trying to import my pst files into my newely installed outloo
2000 I get the following

"the source and destination folders for this operation cannot be th
same."

I have looked at the forum answers by others but the answers are no
quite what I am asking.

Thank you for your help

Bob,
Sounds like you need to move the pst you are importing to another folder
first. If it is in the folder assigned to the new default pst, you will get
this error.

Hope this helps. Please post back either way.
Good Luck

That's your mistake: don't import. Use File>Open>Personal Folders File and
then drag-and-drop the items from the old PST to the new or just change your
default delivery location to the old PST.

.
If you are using Outlook not Outlook express, copy your
pst file somewhere on your hd where you will remember the
location. right click on the outlook icon on the
desktop, go to properties, add personal folders and put
the location and filename followed by .pst right there.
