importing multiple text files

I have a bunch of text files that I would like to import into a single Word
document in order to check the page count. How would I do something like
this or is it even possible?
 
Hi Douglas,

In Word 2007, for each file, on the Insert tab, in the Text group, click
Object, and then click Text from File. The rest is simple.

In Word 2003, start out by clicking File on the Insert menu.
