Importing .MSG files

We have a folder containing a large amount of .msg files that we are trying
to import however we are unable to import them through the import wizard in
outlook 2000 as the wizard doesn't allow us to select that particular file
extension (not recognized).
Is there another way of accomplishing this?

Drag and drop them into Outlook.
