I should clarify; Outlook is on a separate XP PC. Can I copy the .pst file
to my Vista machine and import to Mail? It looks like the import will only
work if Outlook is on my Vista machine.

You have two choices: 1. Install Outlook on your Vista machine. Versions
2003 and more recent run well under Vista; versions 2000 and 2002 run
under Vista, but with some problems. Windows make needs to use part
of Outlook to be able to import .pst files. 2. First, import the .pst file
into
Outlook Express on an older machine with both Outlook Express and
Outlook installed. Then, import the messages from Outlook Express
into Windows Mail.

After you copy the files to a directory on the hard drive of your Vista
computer, make sure the copies are read-write instead of readonly
before you import then into Windows Mail.

Thanks for the quick response. I will install Outlook 2007 on my Vista
machine temporarily and copy over my pst file from the other PC.

Thanks again!

You're welcome.
