I've imported a .pst file created with Outlook Express but in every message
I can get the e-mail addres from the recipient. That is, in the From element
I get, say, "Carlos Saez", but not carlos.saez@domain. It seems that From
element is not well understood, so I can´t add it to the Address Book.
Any advice?.
Regards,
Carlos.

Outlook Express doesn't use the pst file format, it uses many dbx files
but in every message

Current wisdom says not to import from OE but to Export in OE.
have you exported your address book from OE? That would solve your problem

No. You cannot export Contact data from OE to Outlook. For transferring
Contact data, current wisdom remains:
Import from OE using Outlook's Import Wizard.

What this user did is entirely unclear since, as you said, OE cannot use or
create PST files.

I'm sorry but, in my experience and, at least, in my PC Outlook Express does
use .psf file format.

The simple way of dealing with .pst files from Outlook is just openning a
..pst file. So I did.

But you can´t access the sender address, no to save it to the address book.
Carlos.

Then you are using OUTLOOK. Outlook *EXPRESS* does *NOT* use pst files!
It NEVER has!

I´m using Outlook 2000 in a XP environment and the Open function (in the
Spanish version) has a subfunction for openning .pst files. It's true.
Carlos.

Look, Outlook 9x, 200x all use .pst file. Outlook Express (not Outlook)
does not use .pst files, never has and never will.

Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what you are using. Outlook
Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a simple mail and news reader.

If you are confused, fine. Just remember, Outlook has a calendar, Outlook
Express does not.
