importing into outlook?

I have a lot of messages in Outlook express 5. I have bought outlook 2002. I
want to import all my Inbox and Sent Items data into my Outlook. When I use
the Import Export wizard and import the data from Outlook express 5 into
Outlook 2002, will the date be maintained. In short, will the sent date,
received date etc maintain the same date? I heard one of my friends telling
that the dates would not be retained and that the dates would be the same
date as the date the data was imported.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should definitely export from OE to Outlook. Otherwise, your friends are
right.
