You can import things from your old Outlook PST file(s).
This requires Outlook to be installed in your new system.

Outlook has to installed & connected to the origonal data file, on the same
pc as
mail, before you can export msgs to Mail, and import contacts
Or
On the old PC fire up outlook express and import msgs from outlook, then
export Outlook Contacts to the WAB, then copy the entire msg store and WAB
file to the Vista PC & in Mail import

Outlook must be installed and using the data (PST file) you want to import
into Windows Mail.

You can export your Contacts on the old computer to a CSV file. Then you
can import the CSV file into your Windows Contacts.
