importing .DBF Files

Hi


I am trying to Link a .dbf file into access and get the following error
message:

"External Table is not in the expected format"

I know there is nothing wrong with the .dbf file as it opens fine in Excel,
but not Access.

Can anyone help?

Why not just import it from Excel?
