Is it possible to imput data from another database into Access if it is
coming from another database that is not Access? If so how?

Renee,

Yes, it is possible. The method depends on what the other database
actually is; if it's a file formatfor which there is an ODBC driver, you
can import directly, or link. Otherwise, you will need to export from
the other database to a text (flat or delimited) file, and then import
into Access, or link the text file.

Just to expand on the last post, if you are on a version of Access before
2007, go to File - Get External Data - Import (or Link) and pick the file
type and location.

In Access 2007, it is just External Data and then pick the file type.

Hope this helps.

Jackie,
I've picked up a problem at this exact point; If I select DDBC file to link
(or import), the "Select Data Source" dialog box should appear - but does
not. All others are ok. I suspect that I have corrupted or replaced a
library somewhere, somehow. PLEASE, I hope you can assist me in this!
