I have a hundred addresses in my addresses book. 10 are used most and I
want these to appear ahead of the others when I hit To and the Select Names
window opens. How can I do it?

Assuming you mean the Outlook Address Book, you can't. Most people would use
autocompletion to accomplish what you want. I have no idea whether you can
because you did not post your version.

As I said, you can't. The Address Book view is not really the best choice
for selecting recipients. You have many other options.

It's a crappy solution but I use it on my cell phone... add spaces to the
front of the person's last name (if you're sorting by last name) to cause
them to bubble-up in the list

The way I'd accomplish this would be to create a new Contacts folder, enable
it as an address book, and place those ten names (or copies of them) in that
folder. Then I'd open the address book, click Tools>Options, and specify
this new Contacts folder in the "Show this address list first" drop-down.
