Import/Export with .pst

I use MS Outlook on my desktop computer. My OS is Windows XP.
I exported the files with .pst following the instructions to CD .
When I try to import my .pst files and address book from CD to my laptop which uses Windows ME, I got message "Properties of this information sevice must be defined prior to use".
What does it mean ? What should I define ?
Both computers have rewriteable CD ROM drives.

Move the PST file to a hard drive and remove its read only attribute.
