Import ASF not indexed problem

Most *.asf video files can be imported into Windows Movie
Maker 2 but a few give me the error:
"The file is not indexed and cannot be imported."
Any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks.
 
I dont' know, but I'm curious - does renaming the extension to WMV change
how it imports?

Have you used the Indexer on it....The Windows Media File Editor...it
will automatically index it for you.
