Import and Export not visible in Outlook 2007 on Vista

I would like to export my contacts from Outlook 2007, however, there is no
Import and Export menu item seen in the File menu.

What may be turned off, etc. that may cause this?
 
The two most common reasons:
1. You haven't installed importers and exporters from the Office CD
2. Corrupt toolbar. Rename outcmd.dat with Outlook closed to repair.

Are you sure the importers and exporters are installed?

are you wanting to export to another application, or just make a backup? if
the latter you don't need the Export function, just copy the pst file
(unless on Exchange server....)
 
I determined the issue. I had installed BCM and decided not to use it, so I
disabled it. Disabling BCM, however, meant losing the Import and Export menu
item. I will try resetting the main toolbar.
