I have created a general database in Access for mass mailings, with just
name, address, city, state & zip codes. I now want to import that
information into a Contact Management database, so when I pull up a
customer's "card", it will show me all of their pertinent information -
names, address, phone numbers, birthdays, childrens' names, etc. How can I
import the original database information without having to type each customer
separately into the contact management database? Thank you.

Link the Tables (File | Get External Data) then use them to create Append
Queries to copy the information to the Tables in the Contact Management
database. You can import any other pertinent objects, such as Forms,
Reports, Macros, or Modules, using the same (File | Get External Data)
operations.

Thank you, Larry. Your response was very helpful. I am quite new to Access,
and am slowly learning how to use this great tool. It took me a couple of
hours to figure out how to create an Append Query, but I did it! Thank you,
again.

Busy...I know you are 'busy', but I sure would appreciate a synopsis of what
you did to create an append query...or should I just slog through it for a
couple of hours myself?

I, too, have a multi-thousand strong mailing list in Access that I wish to
link to their contact management module so it will be easier to manage sales
calls, etc.

Any tips you could provide would be great!
