I am unable to logon to my laptop which uses w2k pro. Once I enter my login password it shows Please wait...loading personal settings et.. Then I see my wallpaper (no icons/taskbar yet) and also see that VirusScan logo. Immd after this it says 'saving settings....logging off' and I am back to my logon screen. The same thing in safe mode. I used recovery console and renamed user folder under Documents and Settings... and tried again...same result. When I use recovery console it shows that my windows installation is there and I can 'dir' all my folders. What could be wrong? Please help me.

Have you install any software before getting the
problem... if eys uninstall it (booting in safe mode) and
try to boot again in regular mode.

Unother conflic may reside in your anti-virus... again
boot in safe mode uninstall your anti-virus and try to
reboot...

Good luck
