Will DriveImage 7 work on a Vista machine?

What Imaging program are you using?

TIA,

BL

I looked at the specs on Image For Windows and it appear the program will
only back up to CD or DVD. Can it back up to an external USB drive?

Drive Image 7 probably won't work because it is a rather old application.
Norton actually took of Powerquest, the makers of Drive Image and
incorporated Drive Image into Norton Ghost (in the process ruining both
products)

I much prefer to use Acronis True Image 10 which i know works fine with
Vista.

Every answer you received is civil. (-:

Read some of the other posts to confirm this fact.

Some versions of Vista include a basic imaging app which works well.
snip

Yeah but its a trust thing, a backup app is only ever any good if it
does what it says on the tin in a real crisis. Most have let me down
in the bast but since discovering Acronis 8 I have been an Acronis
user and Beta Tester. Acronis has never once let me down I use it as a
rollback app in some cases especially on update day and on my test
box, that things been re-imaged so many times I have lost count.

You want to trust the built in Windows application - OK - I tried it
on the test box and it failed 2 out of 8 times on a test restore with
nothing but Vista installed. Its too new to trust with your life IMO
but hey its "free" innit. (Acronis rescued the failures ironic huh?)

Acronis has worked 100% of the several hundred times I have used it on
various machines to get out of trouble in the past 3/4 years or so, I
know what I am using, and it works on Linux as well in boot mode.
