imaging device driver

My camera is on a usb port and drivers & software load
properly but when I open device from anywhere a message
appears "Driver open fail". The system tells me device is
working properly an is installed ok?

Not a direct fix, but an alternative (and battery saver) is an inexpensive
card reader - for the type of card your camera uses. It will show up in
Windows Explorer as another drive letter, containing a directory (folder)
that has all the image files on the card. They can be copied, moved,
viewed, etc. in the same manner as any other file.

Visit a PC or office store for a demo and details.
