Hi,

Recently I have been having the problem where every web page will load, only
the images won't. I have a pretty high end computer and am using broadband.
Usually I have to close all my IE windows and then reload them to get it
workign again, what could be causing this?

Thanks,
Seb

Clear the IE cache. (IE, tools, Options, Delete Files button, include
offline content.)

I am having the problem and this solution didn't work. Sometimes I get the
boxed red X and others, just don't appear at all! As if they are not there!
This happens most often when the images are dynamically accessed-even on my
own web page! I have emptied my cache... still the same ... because there is
NO evidence that an image is even supposed to be there, I don't know when I
am not getting the images. I have enabled javascript (these seem to be the
problem) I still don't get the images.

IE has a setting for displaying pics, at Tools menu, Options, Advanced tab,
see checkbox to 'show pictures"

I have tried this and it STILL doesn't generate the images. The ones I seem
to be having trouble with are dynamic images (php for the most part). I don't
even get the boxed red X. There is no evidence that there is even an image
present until I check the scripting... I can't even see dynamically produced
images on my own webpage. Please tell me why this is happening.
thanks,

I pressed "yes" by mistake.. I am still not getting these dynamic pictures
(some)

I already have tried that AND remmed out 'host' in the
IE folder in systems..etc.
I found a "fix" in troubleshooting that tells me to change my registry
settings
HOWEVER, I don't seem to have a problem with html images but dynamic ones..
On two pages ONE is my own (PHP) and the other is my workplace PHP driven
images... So I don't think it is html..no place holders are even there for
them?!

i.e.
Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN
4. In the FEATURE_LOCALMACHINE_LOCKDOWN subkey, follow these steps:a. Click
Iexplore.exe.
b. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
c. In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.
d. Click Explore.exe.
e. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
f. In the Value data box, type 0, and then click OK.

but I am reluctant to do this...for fear of becoming vulnerable and I don't
even think this is the problem bc it refers to html.
