Debbie,
FP creates the Images and _private folders whenever you
create a new web. The _private folder holds files that
FP creates when you use certain features, so you should
not delete that folder.
As far as images, you can place images anywhere you wish,
it is a good idea to keep them organized within your web,
so you would probably be better off if you created a
folder called Images, Pics, Photos, or whatever you
wanted to call it.
Once you have a folder created you can import images to
the folder (Click on the Folder>File>Import) or you can
insert images on the page (open the page, place your
cursor where you want the image, go to Insert>Picture and
then locate the image. After it is on the page and sized
correctly, go to File>Save and then save it to the folder
you want to keep it in.
After you are complete you can go to File>Preview in
Browser and test the page. If everything looks OK,
Publish to your server and then double check it online.
Hope it helps,
JDR
