im stuck help

ive just installed the new norton 360 an restarted my computer an now only
the back ground shows up an no start bar or icons how do i get this to go
back to normal ???

Contact Symantec Technical Support.

Problem started when? When you installed Norton 360.
Problem is most likely related to? Norton 360.
I'd contact the creators of the application that obviously screwed up your
system.

In the meantime - boot into Safe Mode, try to Uninstall Norton 360 and/or
perform a system restore to a date before you installed Norton 360. You may
want to consider returning the product as well - I would say your experience
with it so far is less than stellar.

System restore before the SIS installed and try to run Disk Clean up then
Defrag in safe mode.
Open a run command and type in:
sfc /scannow click [OK],, you may be asked to insert your XP CD so get handy.
NIS will have and make trouble if installed on a corrupt or infected Machine.
Install NIS and see if it will install Okay.
