iv'e tried the sources i've been told to do but they
didn't help.i used the sight
http://support.microsoft.com/defualt.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;303013 to help figure my hard drive but it still reads
127gb instead of 160gb. i've also tried to shut down my
computer and manually turn it of but it still comes back
on by itself.for my pc restarting problem i went to the
sight http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and
tried off on #76 but nothing happened.i have 2 atapi
folders or files should i delete one of them? one says
c:\windows\servicepackfiles\i.... and the other says
c:\windows\system32\drivers.what should or could i do?

OK, first go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com and download Service
Pack 1 and install it. Now right click on My Computer, click Manage,
click Disk Management. You should now see that it reads as 160 GB, but
you may or may not be using all of the space. The partition that was
created may only be 137 GB and you will have an extra 12 GB of space
unallocated. You can make this into a new partition if you like or if
you have XP Professional, you could make your disk dynamic and expand it
to include the extra 12 GB, but this would require a little more help.

As for the sutting down, try this. Click Start-Run-Type regedit and
click OK. Now expand until you find this directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\
Once in there, find this value: PowerdownAfterShutdown and change it to
1. If it does not exist, right click say new and create it ;)
