Hi,

I wonder... is there a limit for the maximal concurrent users for a certain
IIS server?
If indeed there is, does this limitation depends of the type of server it
runs on ( e.g. DataCenter, Enhanced server, ... ) is it possible to extend
the number of licenses for a cerain computer?

That will depend on what you are running as an OS.
Windows XP will only allow you 5 connections. 2000 and 2003, I believe, is
unlimited but you can specify your maximum.

Hi,

The most cheap version is to use windows 2003 web edition, because it won't
require to any licenses.

For better versions of windows 2003 (standard, enterprise) is bad thing that
you need to buy licenses for each conncurent authenticated user.
if users won't require auth, then standard, enterprise ok.

Funny but that is how things are, seems ms didn't think all things out.
(Why just better version inherit all from webedition ?)
